Course Description & Objectives: 

This course follows on from FOM 3311: Project Proposal Development. It involves project implementation and monitoring as laid down in the project proposal. In addition to project implementation activities, the students also continue their participation in clinical activities at the facility. They will be expected to show practical skills in psychiatric care at Primary Care level and discuss the role of family and other social institutions.

Learning Outcomes: 

The students should be able to:

  1. Describe the principles of project implementation
  2. Demonstrate skills of project implementation
  3. Discuss principles of non-medical approaches to health care provision.
  4. Discuss the role of family and other social institutions in community psychiatry.
  5. Discuss practical skills in clinical psychiatry
