Course Description & Objectives: 

The course intends to equip students with skills knowledge and tools for business valuation and analysis. Thus, the objective of this course is to provide a framework for the use of financial statements as a basis for business valuation and analysis.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             Objectives:This course aims at providing tools that help; 

  • Managers to monitor and judge their firms performance relative to competitors, to communicate with external investors, to help judge what financial policies they should pursue, and to evaluate potential businesses to acquire as part of their business strategy
  • Securities analysts to use financial statements to rate and value companies they recommend to clients
  • Bankers to use financial statements for deciding whether to extend credit to a customer and to determine the credit terms.
