Course Description & Objectives:

The course intends to equip students with knowledge and skills in Corporate Financial Management. By the end of the course, students should be able to:

Evaluate Corporate stakeholders’ objectives and capital structure decisions

Discuss the theory of capital markets and efficient market hypothesis and describe the implication of the theory of efficient market hypothesis on operations and development of capital markets

Discuss financial distress & prediction of business failure

Evaluate earning management decisions

Learning Outcomes:

Students should be able to

Determine the cost of raising corporate funds and make analysis for operations of capital markets.
Use models for share valuations and dividend payouts
Make analysis to determine various risks in corporate financial management
Use ratios to predict business failure and financial distress.
