Course Description & Objectives: 

The course intends to equip students with knowledge and skills in Corporate Financial Management. By the end of the course, students should be able to:

  • Evaluate Corporate stakeholders’ objectives and capital structure decisions
  • Discuss  the theory of capital markets and efficient market hypothesis and describe the implication of the theory of efficient market hypothesis on operations and development of capital markets
  • Discuss financial distress & prediction of business failure
  • Evaluate earning management decisions
Learning Outcomes: 

Students should be able to

  • Determine the cost of raising corporate funds and make analysis for operations of capital markets.
  • Use models for share valuations and dividend payouts
  • Make analysis to determine various risks in corporate financial management
  • Use ratios to predict business failure and financial distress.
