Course Description & Objectives: 

The course equips students with basic knowledge and skills for management of marginal lands for forest productivity.  Learners gain the ability to assess dry land degradation and can plan restoration programs.

Learning Outcomes: 

By the end of the course, students should be able to:

  • Assess and categorize dry lands
  • Investigate activities leading to dry land restoration
  • Plan and develop  restoration programs for dry lands
  • Select appropriate plants for restoring different dry lands
