Course Description & Objectives: 

This course teaches the basics of engineering drawing utilising free hand sketching, mechanical drawing, and computer aided drafting and solid modelling. The fundamental principles of orthographic projection as well as the topics of dimensioning, sectional views, isometric and perspective pictorials views, descriptive geometry and assembly drawings are taught.

Learning Outcomes: 
  • The students should be proficient in using engineering drawing apparatus, materials and techniques
  • Students should be able to use and interpret standard conventions used in engineering drawing
