Course Description & Objectives: 
  • To enable students explore and acquire comprehensive knowledge and understanding of more financial reporting framework so as to be able to logically handle several accounting tasks and problems.
  • To enable the students to apply this understanding financial reporting framework by preparing useable financial statements, present them as may be suitable to a wide range of users and interpreting financial reports in a practical context.

 

Learning Outcomes: 

On successful completion of this paper candidates should be able to:

  • Evaluate the financial reporting framework
  • Prepare the financial statements of groups of entities in accordance with relevant accounting standards as well as prepare complete sets of statutory financial statements with complete disclosures.
  • Adhere to current reporting issues and developments.
  • Exercise judgement on reporting issues and apply requirements of all the IFRSs in issue.
