Course Description & Objectives: 

The course covers the importance, impact and control of the spread of weeds and invasive plant species in forestry operations. Students acquire knowledge and skills on integrated control and manipulation of weeds and invasive plant species to ably formulate weed control programs.

Learning Outcomes: 
  • Students suggest, recommend, design, implement, monitor and evaluate weed management measures or programs.
  • Distinguish and use appropriately the different types of herbicides and other weed control methods.
