Course Description & Objectives: 

The importance of integrating crosscutting issues in development. Concepts and relevance of various crosscutting issues in agricultural and rural development (including gender, environment, HIV/AIDS). Environment, HIV/AIDS, gender and social diversity issues in agriculture and rural development.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Objectives:

  • To raise students’ awareness about the relevance and importance of selected crosscutting issues, namely, gender, HIV/AIDS, and environment in agricultural and rural development and equip them with skills to integrate the issues in agricultural service delivery.
