Course Description & Objectives: 

Students taking this course should expect to learn the theoretical developments in the international financial management. They will gain skills in international investment and exchange risk management. Students will also learn how to measure and manage the company’s exposure to exchange rate and international interest rate risks.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Objectives: students should be able to:

  • Describe the theoretical developments of international finance and international governance systems
  • Appreciate the operations of International Monetary Fund and its contribution to developing economies
  • Describe the processes of Foreign Direct investments(FDI) and effects of political risks on FDI
  • Describe operations of Foreign Exchange markets and Foreign exchange exposure to risks.

  

Learning Outcomes: 

Students are expected to:

  • Analyze the theoretical international developments in finance and discuss corporate governance issues in the global context
  • Discuss in detail the operation of international monetary system
  • Analyze the global trend of Foreign Direct Investments and evaluate operations of foreign exchange markets and foreign exchange exposure.
