Course Description & Objectives: 

This course takes a decision focus to Management Information Systems and outlines the  basic knowledge requirements suitable  for designing  a good management information system. Major topics covered include;  Definition of Management Information system (MIS).

Learning Outcomes: 

At the end of this course, the student will be in able to

  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of management information system terminology and
  • Describe how the  organizations MIS  is used in  planning , decision making and operational control
  • Participate in the design and implementation of an Information system for business applications
  • Explain the components and the operations, managerial, and strategic roles of information systems within an organization.
