Course Description & Objectives: 

Importance Classification, nomenclature and identification of key microbial organisms.  A broad taxonomic survey of the key microbes (viz, fungi, viruses and bacteriology) with emphasis on structures, life cycles, reproduction, and ecology. An appraisal of the rapidly expanding relevance of microbes in research, medicine, agriculture, biotechnology, and industry.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        objectives:

  • To introduce beginners to form of the major agricultural microbes
  • To introduce learners to the taxonomy of fungi, bacteria and viruses
  • To introduce learners to the biology of the major agricultural
