Course Description & Objectives: 

The course introduces students to management of forest pests and diseases. Students gain practical skills in identifying and documenting tree diseases and insect attacks. Students are further equipped with knowledge for prevention of diseases attack on forest nurseries and plantations.

Learning Outcomes: 
  • Identify and apply common forest insect pests-host relationships and develop skills in managing the pests.
  • Protect tree plantations and  nurseries against dieses spread and insect damage
