Course Description & Objectives:
The course introduces the trainee to the non Neoplastic conditions affecting the salivary glands
Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the course the trainee should be able to:
Assess a patient presenting with a neck swelling either acutely or in the outpatient clinic
Formulate a differential diagnosis and an investigation and management plan of salivary gland diseases.
Treat the patient appropriately up to and including operative intervention if appropriate
To be able to communicate the above information at the required level to patients/carers/other team members
