Course Description & Objectives: 

The course presents to the trainee Classification and assessment of facial deformity,  Psychology of facial deformity,  Norms of facial proportions,  Techniques of cephalometric analysis and  Potential complications.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           Objectives:

  • Be able to select patients for Surgery in addition to Orthodontics treatment.
  • Organise Osteotomy investigations in the clinic and laboratory.
  • Management of these patients.

 

Learning Outcomes: 

At the end of the course, the trainee should be able to:

  • Demonstrate skills in examination of are patient with facial deformity
  • Demonstrate ability to formulate a  treatment plan
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Orthognathic surgery techniques
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills of Post-operative care and follow-up
  • Demonstrate ability to Identification relevant instruments and support staff
