Course Description & Objectives: 

This course introduces a student to the fundamentals of petroleum Geophysics, including acoustic wave propagation, seismic reflection acquisition, processing and interpretation, well seismic and reservoir geophysics features. 

Learning Outcomes: 

At the end of the course the students should be able to:

  • Explain the theoretical principles of petroleum geophysics
  • Describe the steps involved in seismic reflection method
