Course Description & Objectives: 

This course aims to develop knowledge, understanding and application of the pharmacology and legislative framework of drugs and contrast agents used in imaging and life support of the patient during imaging procedures. Pharmacology of drugs, e.g., for resuscitation and life support, methods of administration and related legislation and regulations are discussed

Learning Outcomes: 

A student who:•    Is knowledgeable on the basic Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics of the drugs.•    Is knowledgeable on the appropriate usage of contrast agents.•    Understands the reactions and potential risks associated with contrast agents.•    Appreciates the management of contrast media reactions.
