This course reviews the rock physics and relates it to specific reservoir applications. 

Learning Outcomes: 

By the end of the course, the student should be able to:

  • Acquire and process data concerning boreholes.
  • Relate reservoir parameters to seismic parameters in order to attain optimum borehole parameters.
  • Determine adequate pore pressures for exploration.
