Course Description & Objectives: 

This course aims at enabling students to use the fundamental principles of ethics and to know the impact of social changes. It addresses people’s livelihoods  in terms of employment, business opportunities, environmental concerns  and urban development. It will examine the meaning nature of ethics, the basic ethical principles, the nature of ethical dilemmas, and the major theories of ethics. 

Learning Outcomes: 

After participating in this course, students ought:

  • To develop rational justification of ethical judgment and practice.
  • To explain the meaning and nature of ethics;
  • To apply the basic ethical principles and relate them to the behaviour of individuals and groups;
  • To introduce students to the nature of ethical dilemmas;
