Course Description & Objectives: 

This course emphases soil microbiology. Definition of soil microbiology and its importance, relevance to sustainable agriculture and environment. Processes for classification of soil microorganisms. Methods, techniques and advances of studying soil microorganisms. Soil microbial ecology and population.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Objective:

  • To enable students acquire in-depth knowledge on the living component of soil and its relevance to agricultural production.
