Course Description & Objectives: 

This is a course that addresses technical and scholarly writing in Library and Information Science.The course is intended to enhance the capacity of learners to manage resources, processes and systems for effective technical and scholarly writing. 

Learning Outcomes: 

After successfully completing the course, the students should be able to: 

  • Explain the purpose, principles, organization and operation of scholarly publishing;
  • Describe the role of scholarly publishing in development.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage the editorial and publication processes of different types of scholarly works (journals, monographs, textbooks, symposia and conference proceedings.
