Course Description & Objectives: 

 The course of Theory of Architecture is an integral part of the teaching of architecture that helps the studentto develop visual perception and cognition skills needed in the training of an architect. In our environment,where design skills are only introduced at university level, the course is a must for developing the skillsmentioned.Objectives/aim:• Introduction to the elements of Architecture and their relation to the whole• Understanding how space is formed and used to satisfy functional and psychological needs  

Learning Outcomes: 

On completing this course the student should be able to relate the basic theories that govern form andfunction and how they are used to develop architectural language in design.
