Introduction to urban planning and management of urban services and role urban authorities play in planning and management of urban centers. The course looks at the provision of urban services under the decentralization process as well as the scope of urban planning and management, the analysis of urban problems and the urban informal sector. Students will also address the emerging urban land markets and the crises they pose.
