Enable students to acquire counseling skills and techniques through practical exposure and experiential learning.
Applicants must posses a good first degree or its equivalent. In addition candidates must qualify under one of the two options below.
Option 1:
Candidates must have documentation of two or more years of experience in counselling or an allied field. This includes practicing social workers: lawyers working with advocacy organisations such as FIDA, Hall Wardens, school. counsellors and career teachers, religious workers, prison wardens, human resource managers in government or private industry, guidance and counselling lectures and people working with special needs groups such as refugees, street children, the bereaved, victims of rape and defilement, dismemberment, un wanted pregnancies and AIDS. OR
Option 2:
Candidates must be graduates in philosophy (3.1.1) who wish to specialise in Psychotherapy but who posses demonstrated maturity and well development.
