General Objectives of the Programme
a. To introduce students to Human rights Issues.
b. To equip students (many of whom be policy makers with theoretical foundations of Human Rights issues.
c. To equip students with skills of dealing with Human Rights issues in specific social settings, e.g. among refugees, prisoners, workers, children, etc ..
d. To sensitize students about various Human Rights Organization and how they go about their jobs
e. To sensitize students about the many impediments which stand on the way of enjoyment of Human Rights, e.g. armed conflicts.
f. To equip students with research skills in Human Rights issues
Applicants must posses a good first degree or its equivalent and should be working as: Policy makers and advisors, human rights workers, lawyers, teachers, medical workers, security personnel, researchers, people working with the disabled and those working in gender related fields.
