This course defines health services research and how it differs from operational and clinical research. It will provide a framework for classifying topics and issues in health services research and use of this framework to provide a descriptive overview of the Uganda health care system. Contributions of health services research to the development of Uganda health policy will be highlighted and selected applications in terms of current Uganda policy debates will be introduced.
Eligibility:
Applicants must have a degree in health sciences e.g. medicine(human and veterinary), nursing ,pharmacy, dentistry, lab science and atleast two years relevant field experience in the health sector. OR:
A degree in other quantitative science discipline including maths, statistics and Economics and atleast two years relevant working experience in the health sector.
