Master of Science In Phamaceuticals And Health Supplies Management

The objective of the MScPHSM Program is to prepare a graduate that is a health commodity management expert recognized by the entire health care team and the patients with the knowledge and skills to address medicines and health supplies management challenges. Graduates from the program should be able to communicate well with clients and members of the health care team, continue as life long learners and to advance the field of pharmacy through research. At the end of the program the graduates should have achieved the following outcome objectives; 

• To be able to carry out research in pharmaceuticals and health supplies
• To be able to provide expert advice in the practice of safe, responsible and cost-effective use of pharmaceuticals and health supplies within different care-settings
• To be able to contribute to the development and evaluation of pharmaceutical policy, treatment guidelines and protocols
• To design, set up and maintain an inventory-system in the pharmacy and in the hospital, which guarantees the in time availability of pharmaceuticals and health supplies and minimizes spillage, expiration and inappropriate use
• To keep their knowledge and skills up to date through continuing professional development and research

Eligibility:Applicants must hold a good first degreein any of the following Bachelor degree or the equivalent from any recognised university.Bachelor of Pharmacy,Bachelor of dental surgery,Bachelor of veterinary medicine and Bachelor of nursing science.
