The course will deal with teacher education (TE) policy and characteristics of language teacher education (LTE) programmes in different countries and regions. It will tackle and contextualise issues of knowledge, practical and professional elements of the language teacher preparation and development programmes. In separate language groups learners will also learn content knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge relevant to their languages of interest .
