Course Description & Objectives: 

This course introduces students to the different types of environmental hazards and their remedial measures, including waste disposal and how to sustainably manage geological resources. 

Learning Outcomes: 

At the end of this course students should:

  • Describe the natural geological and human induced environmental hazards and the possible remedial measures.
  • Acquire usable skills of proper and sustainable use and management of geological resources/materials.
  • Be able to identify sites for safe waste disposal in stratified rocks.
