Course Description & Objectives: 

This course focuses on important topics of population, settlement, agriculture, industry, environment, forestry and communications.  Gender and culture discriminations and lack of access to family property and education the students and society at large will become aware of women’s potential in contributing to the development of society worldwide. Aim of the course:The course will develop an appreciation of gender discrimination among people and how such issues can be dealt with. 

Learning Outcomes: 
  1. By the end of the course the students will establish the importance of intergrating gender in geography education at all levels.
  2. They will identify topics/themes in geography where gender can be intergrated
  3. The students will identify appropriate teaching methods that can be used to teach gender in geography.
  4. They will develop skills of gender analysis, cooperation and teamwork.
