1.      Developmental anatomy of the human ear,2.      Gross anatomy of the external, middle, inner ear cleft and facial nerve3.      Acoustics and psychoacousics4.      Temporal bone anatomy5.      External and middle ear mechanisms6.      Cochlear physiology and auditory neurophysiology7.      Ear embryology8.      Ear biochemistry9.      Fine structures, vestibular mechanisms and measurement 

Learning Outcomes: 

By the end of the course, the student should be able to:1.      Describe the structure, function of the ear as it relates to the practice of ENT2.       To describe the development of the ear3.       To appreciate the physiology of the ear4.       Describe the structures of the various parts of the ear5.       Understand basic acoustics principles
