Course Description & Objectives: 

            this is an introductory course in psychology offered to all teacher trainees that assumes no prior psychological knowledge. General Objective: to equip the teacher trainees with the basic knowledge, skills and values on the cognitive, psychosocial and behavioural aspects of human beings.  

Learning Outcomes: 

By the end of the semester, the teacher trainees should be able to

  1. Appreciate the various personalities and differences in behavioural patterns.
  2. Demonstrate the necessary coping and management skills regarding psychological challenges such as stress, discipline and low self-esteem issues.
  3. Appreciate the principle individual differences.
