Course Description & Objectives: 

The course covers the principles and applications of project management to the upstream oil and gas business. The course will introduce the basic management principles required in the smooth running in petroleum operations and development.

Learning Outcomes: 

At the end of this course a student should be able to:

  • Define a project’s scope and understand the various stages of petroleum operations and development projects.
  • Use project management tools to create a project schedule to meet goals, deliverables and resource constraints.
  • Explain the basic principles of resource management, including the Human resource.
