Course Description & Objectives: 

The course is about Signs and symptoms of Temporal Mandibular Joint dysfunction, Differential diagnosis of TMJ conditions,  Investigations and radiographic interpretation as well as methods of medical and surgical management .And the relevant pharmacology and therapeutics.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Objectives:

  • To distinguish isorders that may require surgical treatment from those which do not.
  • Acquire knowledge and skills in investigations that would clarify the nature of a particular disorder.
  • Learn the surgical approaches to the TMJ
  • Assessment  and management of Maxillofacial neuropathies.
Learning Outcomes: 

At the end the course the trainee should be able to

  • Demonstrate knowledge about Signs and symptoms of Temporal Mandibular Joint  dysfunction,
  • Demonstrate k skills in  Differential diagnosis of TMJ conditions,
  • Demonstrate skills in selecting appropriate  investigations and radiographic interpretation as well as methods of medical and surgical management , and the relevant pharmacology and therapeutics
