The course is designed to prepare students to carry out research. It equips them with knowledge and skills of identifying and formulating a research problem, developing objectives, reviewing literature, identifying appropriate research methods, collecting, analyzing and presenting data

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course, learners should be able to:

Describe the concept, principles and importance of research in library and information science.
Identify and formulate research problems in library and information science.

Review literature
Identify and choose appropriate research methodologies
Explain how to collect, analyze and present research data using appropriate techniques.
