Course Description & Objectives: 

This course will consist of description of the effect of biotic and abiotic stress factors on plants and animals, plant and animal adaptations, short- and long-term adaptations of plants and animals and plants

Learning Outcomes: 

At the end of the course, the students should be able to:

  •  describe the effects of biotic and abiotic stress factors on plants and animals,
  •  discuss plant and animal adaptations to stress factors,
  •  differentiate between short and long term plant and animal adaptations,
  •  outline and explain the importance of chemical defense systems in plants, 
  •  identify characteristics of plants and animals adapted to different environmental conditions.
