Concepts of biodiversity (ecosystems and habitats; ecology, biology an d behavior of wild animals; species and breeds; analysis and measurement of Biodiversity; systems management for maintaining biodiversity, animal and human population dynamics, resource utilization, behaviour of animals, resource inventories and habitat management, management of endangered species and breedsConcepts of sustainable resource utilisation: ecological, economic and social sustainability, weak and strong sustainability, long and short term  By the end of this study, the student should have learnt:-

  • Learnt ecology, biology and behavior of wild animals
  • The value of the different resources (e.g  socio-culture, commercial, aesthetic and food perspective values
