Course Description & Objectives: 

The course analyses the World Social-Cultural classifications.  It embarks on a comparative outlook of the world political and economic systems:  Capitalism, socialism, communism and mixed economies.  It examines the similarities and divergences of Western economics systems; Looks at other systems e.g. Chinese, Japanese, and the failed Soviet Union Systems.  It lastly examines the economies as looked upon by the liberal Western Views as opposed by the Marxist and neo-Marist views.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Objectives

  1. To examine the world social classification.
  2. To compare world political and economic systems
  3. To examine the seniorities and emergences of western economic systems.
  4. To examine the pre-colonial political social and economic systems
  5. To examine the decolonization of the post independence process in Africa.
