Course Description & Objectives: 

The camera is used as an individual creative medium. Experimental projects in black and white and color photography. Students explore advanced productions of color/black &white processes.Course Objectives

  • This course is intended for students to build a professional portfolio.
  • The aim for the class is to allow students develop individual project concepts within the field as an art form, as well as vocational applications within the world of photography.
  • The course is designed towards developing a professional ­photographer with proficiency of the medium.
  • Concepts such as personal development, subject matter, and creative visualization will be emphasized in the course.
  • Develop skill and knowledge in planning and managing photographic sessions and assessing results
Learning Outcomes: 

The student will have acquired the skill necessary to carry out an independent project from the planning and presentation. Their works will be able to reflect individual skill and maturity as they coordinate their progress will the lecturer. The student will develop capacity in person/group design philosophy and interests in photography based on the choice for their themes for exploration. All individual oriented projects are intended to provide students with:

  • Understanding a topic/subject of study
  • Experience on use of studio and outdoor resources
  • Experience on project planning, management, coordination and execution
  • Experience in photo finishing in the darkroom and digital darkroom
