Course Description & Objectives: 

This course is a continuation from MUS 1208. Emphasis is on technique, theory, music reading, performance, practicing, and utilizing more advanced repertoire. Emphasis will be on a selection of repertoire from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern eras, as well. Participation in Departmental performances is mandatory.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Objectives: 

  • To acquire advanced skills of hearing, reading and writing musical sound
  • To advance in solo singing techniques
  • To equip the students with skills to perform with a music ensemble at an advanced level
  • To offer skills of the vocal styles of the different music genres
  •

  • Competence in hearing, reading and writing musical sound at an advanced level
