Course Description & Objectives:

This course is a continuation from MUS 1208. Emphasis is on technique, theory, music reading, performance, practicing, and utilizing more advanced repertoire. Emphasis will be on a selection of repertoire from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern eras, as well. Participation in Departmental performances is mandatory. Objectives:

To acquire advanced skills of hearing, reading and writing musical sound
To advance in solo singing techniques
To equip the students with skills to perform with a music ensemble at an advanced level
To offer skills of the vocal styles of the different music genres

Learning Outcomes:

Competence in hearing, reading and writing musical sound at an advanced level
Advanced solo singing techniques
Ability to perform with an music ensemble at an advanced level
