To Equip students with skills in Auditing so that they can be able to provide relevant and valuable information on audit planning and internal controls

To equip students with knowledge and skills of carrying out audit and assurance engagements
To enable students be able to carry out computer auditing and prepare internal audit reports

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this course the student will be able to:

To define auditing, audit and assurance and explain the need for and nature of auditing and assurance.
- To describe the regulatory framework of auditing in Uganda.
- To explain the basic principles and procedures of auditing and obtaining audit evidence.
- To identify and explain audit objectives.
