Changing Patterns in Poetry

This course is a development on LIT 3102 (The Elements and Scope of Poetry). It will provide an overview of the historical and literary development of the British poetic tradition which has proved decisive in the formation of other traditions of poetry in English. It will explore various poets and their emergence from particular social and cultural contexts.
