Teachers are key agents in all efforts to improve quality of education. The course explores development and trend in teacher education in Uganda. It also addresses current issues in teacher education from a comparative perspective. It acquaints students with factors influencing teacher education and importance of investing in quality teacher education.
This course should enable students to:1. Explain factors influencing teacher education quality in Africa2. Analyze implication of the different teacher education models3 . Appreciate the role of the teacher in the provision of quality education
