The Criminology Practicum/Internship involves 30 hours of supervised work at an agency for one academic semester. Students may not count as agency hours the time necessary to get to and back from the agency/practicum site, the time needed to write journal entries, or the time spent writing the final report. Students are responsible for finding a practicum site in which to do their agency hours, and must work under a supervisor who is responsible for supervision and evaluation of the student’s performance. Students are required to keep a notebook with a daily log, a journal, a weekly report, an agency analysis, a staff meeting report, and a final report.
