Course Description & Objectives: 

The course also examines the concept and theories of change. A critical analysis of the contributions of various scholars on education for change is explored. Strategies for rural transformation are presented focusing on teachers as change agents. Concepts of self reliance and globalization are also examined. 

Learning Outcomes: 

This course should enable students to:

  • Examine reforms and their implication in educational system
  • Analyze theories social change  
  • Examine in-depth the issues and problems of education in a changing society.
  • Examine the relationship between pedagogy and social change.
