Course Description & Objectives: 

The course will presents to participants the foundations of education services and infrastructure in terms of historical growth, environmental context, philosophy, forms and current practices. It offers analysis and critical thinking on the internal and external systems of education; the local and global influences in education management; the current policies, dynamics and challenges and strategies for supporting quality education services and offering. 

Learning Outcomes: 

After the successful completion of this course the students would be able to:

  • Understand the foundations of education sector management in terms of historical growth, environmental context, philosophy, forms and current trends.
  • Engage critical thinking and utility of the internal and external systems of education; and the unfolding local and global influences in education management
  • Understand and apply education policies to various contexts;
  • Apply different tools and techniques of education administration and management
  • Inspect, monitor, review and evaluate the specific organizational conditions and structural issues associated with education services;
  • Perform effectively and efficiently as supervisors or managers of education infrastructure
