Course Description & Objectives: 

Although entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial behavior are as old as humanity, entrepreneurship as a field of study is relatively young. Entrepreneurship is largely a multidisciplinary field, having originated from a number of disciplines mainly economics, sociology, and psychology. This course unit is an adventure, a personal journey, and a significant learning experience for the student. The course gives students an opportunity to make creative adjustments to meet personal needs and increase motivation.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Objectives:  Students will be equipped with skills to;

  • launch new enterprises,
  • ensure business survival, growth and development,
  • induce in them an entrepreneurial culture and help them look at the big picture,

 

Learning Outcomes: 

At the end of the course the participants should be able to:

  • Discern the possibilities and opportunities for entrepreneurial development within his or her environment
  • Comprehend, cultivate the ability to plan, organize and start a business
  • Develop a solid business plan for an entrepreneurial venture
