Course Description & Objectives:

In this course students will learn how to develop and use teaching and learning resources in science. The course also looks at the use and management of the school laboratory, laboratory teaching and assessment of practical work.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course, a student should be able to;

Develop and use different teaching and learning aids
Manage a school laboratory effectively
State and explain the duties and responsibilities of different staff members in a science department
Make accurate measurements using different equipment and apparatus
Design systematic procedures for secondary school experiments
Prepare, supervise and mark students’ practical work
