Introduction to Literature II

This course is a follow up of Literature 1101: Introduction to Literature I offered in Semester One. The course covers satire as a mode of literary communication, an introduction to the content and value of Oral Literature in society as well as an introduction to Literary Criticism. The two courses, Lit 1101 and Lit 1202, are Core Courses aimed at laying the foundation for a more focused study and specialization in literature in the second and third years of the BA Programme. There are three contact hours per week for the course: two hours for lectures and one hour for tutorial/seminar discussions.
