Course Description & Objectives: 

The theoretical aspects of the course are covered in lectures on:  Principles of measurements and the documentation thereof; and detailed analysis of the clauses contained in the Standard System of Measuring Building Work.  The practical component of the course entails the measurement, abstraction and billing of the following elements:  Foundation; Superstructure brickwork; Roofs, Eaves and rainwater goods; Internal and External Finishes; Ceiling; Floors; and Doors, Windows and Opening Adjustments.
