The course intends to examine Islamic revivalism in Modern times and analyses the causes of the collapse of the last Muslim Caliphate, the Ottoman Caliphate and its consequences. It covers occasional outbursts of Muslim Militants throughout the Muslim world and causes of these out bursts, notable among these are Muslim Brotherhood, Islamic Revolution in Iran, Hizbullah, Salvation Front (F.I.S), Hamsa, etc
